In the field of manufacturing, improvements are constantly being made to increase productivity, improve quality, and shorten lead times. However, there are many companies that are so busy with their daily operations that waste is left unattended and normalized, and they are unable to produce the value they are supposed to. Recently, there are even companies that have neglected to educate their staff on the basics of business and improvement, and have no one who can teach them. The main reason why education is neglected is the heavy burden on those who provide it. What should be the training menu, who should train the staff, what materials should be prepared for the training, and what books should be studied to prepare the materials? Therefore, we started a project to create a database of reform and improvement information that any company can use more easily. Our goal is to create a database of information on reform and improvement that can be used by any company, not only for basic education, but also for applied education, practical education, and case studies of other companies. We are well aware that education alone will not change the field, but it is also clear that if education is neglected, there will be no future. In addition to the information we have, we would like to join forces with consultants and experts from all over Japan who support the dissemination of information, and become an entity that supports the Kaizen (base) of manufacturing companies.
